Inspired by Michael Sean Erickson

Tear up all your poems
And shove them
In your pocket
And then
Bit by bit
Reach in
And chew on them
Through out the day.
Get a taste for each
Word.
Lick you lips
With wonder
Over the diction and
Syntax of each line.
Now swallow.

  1. Licking lips with wonder. A taste for the joy of words. Poetic utterance coming to life in flesh, and given soul in the awe consumed breaths we breathe on them. So much majesty in the simple act of silence, alone, while the words play with themselves in the cauldron of a heart’s contentedness.
